Bio
Ruud Straat grew up in the Netherlands and has lived on three continents. He has been traveling far from home and has been taking pictures ever since childhood. His camera accompanied him across the world to places as far-flung as Honduras, Colombia, Egypt, the USA and Canada and of course all of Europe.
He is an experienced photographer and proudly worked in workshops with renowned photographers like Clay Blackmore and Rolando Gomez in the USA and videographers like Christopher Everard in France.
Ruud has a Master’s degree from RWTH Aachen in Business and has lived for twenty years in the USA. Ruud is currently based near Maastricht in the Euregio of Maastricht, Aachen and Liege. This is the interesting country triangular of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands in the beautiful rolling hills of Southern Limburg. Many cultures and languages meet here in an area that has eight airports within 100 kilometers close to Brussels, Cologne and Paris.
Ruud is available for travel assignments departing Brussels and Amsterdam.
Ruud shoots weddings, portraits, boudoir and business assignments.
He can make a professional studio available for any type of photography.
